Heart Attack 2011 – Devlin Defends Against Hawk
Ladies and gentlemen, WWC’s Heart Attack 2011 is right around the corner with a lineup that will have you thinking you just chugged a quad venti latte!
After a hard fought battle, Cody Hawk emerged as the #1 Contender to WWC Heavyweight Champion Devlin Anderson. This is going to be a serious test for the Re-Enforcer, as Hawk is known for accumulating titles everywhere he goes, having previously defeated JT Stahr to hold the very belt that Devlin now calls his own! We know Anderson isn’t one to back down from a challenge, so we’re expecting this to be a true smashmouth fight to the finish.
Last month, Matt Taylor did two things many thought would be impossible – he goaded Aaron Williams into putting not just his WWC North American Title, but also his WWC Career on the line, and then Matt won! One would think that this would leave Taylor elated and at the top of his game, but instead we’ve heard mutterings about how there are “no more challenges” left for him. An opponent for Taylor has not yet been announced, but we expect that the Executive Committee will come up with someone that can be a threat to unseat the unstable young man.
It looks like The Solar Powers are going to get a fair fight against the Brotherhood for once, as Patrick Black will be handcuffed to Interim Commissioner Violent Bob Humperdink for the entirety of the match! Commissioner Humperdink has been trying to leave the calls of the matches in the hands of the officials, but given Patrick’s penchant for shenanigans, Bob felt this was the only way to nullify Black’s cheating ways. This couldn’t come at a worse time for the Brotherhood, as a win over the Solar Powers in this non-title matchup would most certainly garner them a title shot.
Resolution saw Scarry Garry bring out his “personal health care attendant” Nurse Sara Bellum. Her treatments seemed to leave him invigorated as he fought the returning Ganger to a standstill, neither man able to claim a victory in a brawl that ended with the locker room pulling them apart. These two will get a second shot at each other this month to see if either one can claim dominance and ascend the ladder of the WWC rankings.
Heather Gonzales showed everyone that she hasn’t lost a step since being unmasked as Malo Pescado, defeating the debuting GG Bradley in singles competition. Will she fare as well against the almost perfect “Mr. 9.5” Justin Neal?
Dean Jablonski’s travel difficulties prevented him from appearing at Resolution and wrestling in the #1 Contender’s match – but he won’t have much time to worry about that as he faces the man arguably near the top of WWC’s contendership consideration in the form of DDK.
All of this plus more is guaranteed to occur as the stars of the WWC jockey for position not only today, but in an attempt to impress the Executive Committee and earn a coveted spot in the King Of Extreme tournament on March 5th! You know you want to see this one live as it happens when WWC returns to the Aberdeen Municipal Building aon Saturday, February 12th for Heart Attack! Get there when the doors open at 6:30 and grab your seats while they last!
