WWC’s 6th Annual KING OF EXTREME, is now in the history books and Aberdeen, OH turned out in droves making it the highest attended event in WWC’s Monthly Showcase Series history. KOE ’09 lived up to its reputation as the biggest hard hitting show in WWC’s schedule. Here is a look at what went down.

KOE ’09 began with The Administration coming to the ring to address the fans. WWC President Patrick Black along with Vice President of Affairs Miss McKenzie and the Administration’s enforcer Dean “The Dream” Jablonski started off the show showing they were in complete control of the event. President Black stated that Cody Hawk would not be here tonight and called out the two men who were scheduled to face him in a 3 Way Dance later in the night, JT Stahr and WWC Champion Astonishing Aaron Williams. Black stated that Hawk would face Williams at a later date under The Administration’s conditions, but tonight he would still be in a 3 Way Dance…but JT Stahr was given the night off and dismissed from the ring. Williams learned that he would face two hired guns later tonight in a non-title match…Chikara star Tim Donst and the top wrestler from the former USSR…The Soviet Shooter Nikita Allanov in a 3 Way Dance.

The first match of the night was a “women’s division’ match between Hardcore Heather Owens and Super Oprah. Owens was set to take on Kara Kildare but she hasn’t been seen since her “date” with the Penthouse Playboys. Word on the street is Kid Fabulous is currently searching for his true love as we speak. So Heather Owens had no opponent, until Super Oprah hit the ring. A fierce back and forth match ensued between the two with the fans solidly behind Oprah, but Owens hit a tornado DDT out of nowhere for the 1, 2, 3.

Long time tag team partners “Dark Horse” Dave Nevada and “Re-Enforcer” Devlin Anderson battled it out for control of the WWC North American Championship they had co-won back in January. What started out as a game of who can do better quickly spiraled into a complete brawl with neither man holding back. Nevada and Anderson brawled all over the Municipal Building letting loose chops you could hear across the river in Kentucky. Back in the ring the two showed why they were two of the best in WWC today countering each other’s moves and each man scoring near falls. The contest ended with Nevada reversing a crossface into a pin and getting a handful of tights for the win. Anderson celebrated his partners win by raising his hand and giving over the title. While both men enjoyed a standing ovation from the crowd, their tag partner Dangerous Damien Kass hit the ring, screaming at Nevada for cheating. Kass and Nevada came to blows with Kass getting the upper hand. Devlin Anderson pulled DDK off of him and a shoving contest began. Anderson tried to calm the situation but Kass hit a sucker punch on Anderson, ending their friendship. Nevada and Anderson would regroup and run Kass off, but it was clear to everyone that this wasn’t over.

WWC Tag Team Champions The Foundation (Superstar Shawn Parks & Ric Byrne) w/Will Profit battled Dangerous Damien Kass & Eddie Gonzales w/Naughtia. Kass wasted not time in canceling Nevada’s mystery opponent and he picked on of his own in Gonzales. The two worked very well together knocking the Foundation off their game for a time being. Penthouse Playboy manager Violent Bob Humperdink came out and got in the face of Foundation manager Will Profit. He tried to attack Profit which brought Byrne to the outside to run off Humberdink and Jimmy Malloy, which gave Eddie Gonzales the chance to jump Byrne from behind. The Referee was knocked out thanks to Kass pulling him into a Superstar Splash from Parks. While Gonzales and Byrne brawled to the back on the outside, Kass hit a low blow on Parks and made the cover. This brought out Dave Nevada and Devlin Anderson into the ring who hit an atomic drop/super kick combo allowing Parks to make the cover and retain the titles for the Foundation.

The Administration returned to the ring calling WWC play by play man Jeremiah L. Young into the ring, and trying to force him to apologize Young refused and left the ring leaving Black steaming, saying he would be dealt with at a later time. Shooting Star Matt Taylor hit the ring, and goaded Black’s ego and temper into getting a spot in the KOE match later in the night.

Pretty Boy Jimmy Malloy w/Violent Bob Humperdink cut a interview issuing a challenge to Tag Champions The Foundation for the April 18 show. While out there Will Profit returned with his new client and opponent for Malloy…JT Stahr! Stahr and Malloy fought it out in a action packed match but Stahr would walk away the winner using Malloy’s own coat to get a roll up victory. After the match Malloy would be announced to be the final contestant in the KOE match.

WWC Champion Astonishing Aaron Williams fought off not one but two men when he pulled off a victory over Tim Donst and The Soviet Shooter Nikita Allanov. At times it looked like Donst and Allanov would be victorious. But the two clashed themselves not able to work together. Donst looked to score the biggest win since entering WWC but Williams countered and one Frog Splash later took home the win.

And in the main event, the King of Extreme lived up to its name as Dean “the Dream” Jablonski took home the crown and a guaranteed title shot at any belt in the next twelve months. Eight man fought it out in an Eight man elimination match. Here is the order of elimination.

Jimmy Malloy eliminated himself in the battle royal, knowing he had nothing to loose because he had a Tag Title shot next month. Jake Ashworth was pinned by Dangerous Damien Kass after being slammed on the top of his head on a pile of thumb tacks. Ganger was forced to submit to a Texas Cloverleaf from Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas, who was then sent crashing through a table by DDK with aid from Ganger. The final four were Matt Taylor, Jablonski, DDK and Eclipso. While all four men stole the show with their hard hitting performances, Jablonski would fight off long time rival Matt Taylor from atop the ladder to take down the contract and win the match.
